Short Curriculum Vitae of Kostas Papadopoulos
Born in Athens in 1977 and graduated in 2004 from the Department of Civil Engineering AUTH. Afterwards he followed studies at UMIST (Institute of Science and Technology - University of Manchester), where in 2005, received a master 's degree M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering.
From 2002 to 2004 he worked part-time as an assistant in field surveys using geophysical methods (seismic cross-hole method) for the University of Athens. From 2005 to 2006 he worked as a geotechnical engineer for Mouchel Parkman based in Ellesmere Port office (UK). Since 2007 he is a permanent partner of EDAFOS S.A. with main tasks on: geotechnical design and analysis in a number of projects such as stabilizing landslides, slope stability, earthworks (embankments - trenches), foundation engineering, dams, etc. He has significant experience in organizing extensive drilling program execution - of laboratory testing and reporting presentation - evaluation of geotechnical investigations, geotechnical studies, bills, proposals for new projects etc. He has conducted a significant number of structural design projects mainly retaining structures sush as walls, pile walls etc. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and of the Greek Committee Tunnelling (EESYE). |
