Vasilis Karintzis

He was born in Athens and graduated from Geological Department of Athens University in 2004. He continued his postgraduate studies at University of Durham United Kingdom and got an Msc Degree in Engineering Geology in 2005.
He has practiced in soil and rock mechanics at the Engineering Geology Laboratories at the Greek Institute of Geological and Mineral Exploration. He fulfilled his military obligations in the army at the engineering department where he has made a geotechnical study - evaluation for slope failures close to military barracks in Kos island. Since 2007 he has been a working for EDAFOS S.A and has participated in numerous geological and geotechnical studies all over the Greek frontier. He has worked both as a site geologist and also designer geologist on a number of major infrastructure projects such as the Thisauros Dam, the Greek National Railway (ERGOSE), the EGNATIA Highway, the highway of Central Greece (E 65), the north Cretan Highway (B.O.A.K) and finally the IONIAN ROAD. He is a member of the the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece. He holds a Designer Certificate Category 20 Class A & Category 21 Class A. |
