Civil - Geotechnical Engineer (PhD Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA - 2015, MSc Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA - 2012, Diploma National Technical University of Athens - 2010).
She graduated from the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2010 and she continued her studies at Cornell University where she received an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering in 2012. She became a PhD candidate at Cornell University and she received her PhD in Geotechnical Engineering in 2015. Between 2011 and 2014 she worked as a graduate research assistant at Cornell University for the research projects titled "Earthquake Response and Rehabilitation of Critical Lifelines" and "Liquefaction and its Effects on Buildings and Lifelines in the 2010-2011 Canterbury, New Zealand Earthquake Sequence", funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). She has been a consulting engineer at EDAFOS S.A. since 2014 with main duties related to highway design that include geotechnical design of reinforced embankments, reinforced soil walls, foundation design, ground improvement design and geotechnical evaluations. She has been awarded a PhD scholarship at Cornell University, and she has received a scholarship form the State Scholarships Foundation - IKY for ranking 1st in the admission list at the School of Civil Engineering in NTUA in 2004. She has been awarded a travel scholarship to attend the Annual Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) as well as the 6th International Conference in Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering (2015). She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), and she has been a certified Engineer-In-Training (EIT) by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). |
